This place deserves better ratings! We had a lovely water view patio seat for a light dinner in August. Garlic bread and gumbo for husband, crab cakes for me. I really enjoyed the mango salsa with the crab cakes. Lingered long enough to drink two ciders!
We got to the restaurant right around 6:30ish and it was pretty busy but we got right in and was seated in one of the best tables. There are lots of windows which have a spectacular view of the sun setting over Lake Michigan. Low lighting with candles on the table created a warm and inviting feel on this fall night. The ribs you can pull apart with a fork and the barbecue sauce is really good. Not too spicy and not too sweet. The Panini was overflowing with meat and was perfectly warmed. The fries were super crispy and not greasy at all. My only negative would be that the bread for the panini was not large enough for all the meat. Our server Danielle was super sweet and gave great service.
Food is delicious! Great atmosphere. Look out on Silver Beach. Always good service. It's a avorite when we visit St Joseph, MI.
The food was amazing. Their fries as a side with the burgers are a must, they're so crispy and well seasoned. The service was also so good. Our hostess and server were spectacular. Ambiance was nice, the street might be a tad busy on some days though.
A casual restaurant overlooking Lake Michigan. Indoor and outdoor seating available but the outdoor seating is along a pretty busy street so it can get noisy. Visited by locals and visitors,their menu offers just about everything from burgers,salads,soups,noodles and chef features. Started with a Michigan Old Fashion and Cider. They also have a huge beer and wine list. I had the Perch sandwich. Lightly breaded and moist. Came with fries and I substituted the Cole Slaw with asparagus. Delicious My wife had the Black and Blue salad with tenderloin. The salad tho was just romaine lettuce with nothing else such as tomatoes,cucumbers or not much bleu cheese. The tenderloin was seasoned perfectly. This place is very well known in the area and is definitely a place to try when in St.Josephs!
Our server was very helpful and we enjoyed sitting out on the patio on such a beautiful Mother's Day. The drinks were served to us quickly along with ice water which was appreciated. My salad was refreshing and a good size with very tender steak. My husband said his perch sandwich was tasty. I would come back next time we are driving through.
Lunch for five this afternoon was delicious. Quick service. Had the Reuben sandwich (great corned beef, not fatty), Michigan Cherry Salad (generous, tasty, fresh greens), and chicken salad sandwich. Very nice selection of beers although we are really not drinkers. Prices were somewhat on the high side, but the quality of the food made those prices relatively okay. Highly recommend.
